Creating a BEE-conscious organisation: The foundation of sustainable competitiveness

In many organisations people are entrusted or appointed to drive BEE- and transformation-related initiatives. Yet, all too often they do not have the information and expertise to properly fulfil their roles.

To help employers deal with the complex and sensitive issues around broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE), Buyolo Business Advisory Services Pty (Ltd) will be offering a training workshop in Cape Town.

Expected outcomes of the workshop

Participants will
  • gain more insight into BBBEE codes and why BEE is good for business,
  • be able to implement the knowledge acquired into their own initiatives or programmes,
  • be able to find a strategy of how to implement BBBEE and to assess the current BBBEE state of their organisations as well as that of their suppliers,
  • be taken through the financial instruments that can be used in BEE deals,
  • be exposed to corporate BEE case-study deals,
  • be able to formulate a transformation strategy that minimises social instability without putting the business at risk,
  • know how the proposed Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) will bring state procurement policy into line with the empowerment codes,
  • gain confidence to develop scorecards for their own businesses.
Who should attend?

BEE implementers, human-resources staff, middle and senior management, corporate board members, bid-committee members, procurement and supply-chain management staff, business unit officials who often adjudicate tenders as well any person who would like to know more about BEE and tap into opportunities that exist.

Testimonials

“This was really great …. You really did a fantastic job of selecting and formatting the info in a very understandable manner I am so impressed. My brother you went way beyond my expectations. I didn’t actually think that I would understand this phenomenon as well as I does now. Every company must have exposure to your programme. You exceeded my expectations. I’m very proud to be associated with an expert like you. Keep going my brother!
Navine Christian Director of ExecuThink

“I think you are excelling in what you are doing, you know your story. In the near future, you need to get your own place, like an institution where you can be able to conduct these workshops and mainly focusing on these issues. By so doing, you will be able to market your self perfectly and people will be able to reach you at anytime. Reach the stars not the sky and become even more innovative”
Nqwenelwa Ncede of the Department of Labour

“I was very happy with the workshop. The facilitator understood the subject matter very well. I would be interested to see how the verification agencies are influencing government to close the loop holes that may be identified as a result of the verification process”
Vuyisile Mshudulu of Cape Craft and Design Institute
